55g help

im getting a 55g tank and i need to know what the best filter is for the tank. i have an oscar.

I'd go with an aquaclear 110, and recommend upgrading to at least a 75. Oscars (aka floating pigs) get quite large and will barely have enough room to turn around in a 12" deep tank.

Okay thanks, would a 100g be over kill? My local petco has a deal dollar per gallon

Sadly, that promo doesn't include large tanks. You can probably find a good deal on a used setup on Craiglist though.
