So I gave up on the 4ppm in 24 hours and stuck with 2ppm in 24 hours. My tank did that 3 days in a row so I considered it cycled. If I end up having to do a few more PWC's than I'd like then so be it, it sure beats having an empty tank.
Went out and stocked:
Female Blue Gourami (I think she's a she)
3 Male Cherry Barbs
3 Female Cherry Barbs
Will most likley be picking up 6 Cardinal Tetras within the next two weekends when the LFS gets them in. Haven't decided if I actually want a BN Pleco or not.
Question I have for anyone who has an idea: It's important for us to name the fish, as they are mainly for my daughter. What should I look for in the Cherry Barbs to tell them apart? As far as I can tell they are all exactly the same, aside from their sizes which is off my millimeters if anything and will change as they grow anyways.
