after cycling...adding fish

ok, i still havent done my fishless cycle, but i was wondering, how many fish can you add at once after you cycle?

Depends, how big is your tank. I know I know there are too many depends but that depends

Don't add too many at once. Go with 1-5 fish at a time. It also depends with what ppm of ammonia you cycled.

well from what i was reading in the "fishless for dummies" thread, it said 5, i was going to add 3 at a time anyway, so another question is, after adding the 1st batch, how long until i can add a second batch of 3?

If you don't see any ammonia spikes or your ammonia goes to 0 after a few days you are ready for more fish.

I cycled at 3ppm, then dropped the dosing down to 1ppm until the cycle finished. I then added 12 fish in a 29g, without a spike.

Recently, I cycled at 1ppm, and dropped the dosing down to .5ppm and I added 6 fish into a 10g, also without a spike in ammonia or nitrites.

Depending on what you are adding, you will probably be able to add 6+ at a time.

I would stick to just 3, then wait a week and add another 1-5, but thats just me.
