Sorry I have so many freaking questions lately, lol, but I rather be safe then sorry. I finally got the cfl bulbs today for my ten gallon. After turning it on I noticed that it was a lot brighter then I thought it would be. My boyfriend got the 13 watts like it was suggested for me to do.

Here's what the tank looked like before with the incandescent bulbs:

The betta's don't seemed bother by the brighter light but I don't know if it is too bright for them. Should I leave it or remove one of the lights? I'll be getting live plants for that tank hopefully in the next couples of weeks maybe sooner.

The plants will help, water sprite would be a great choice as it's broad feathery growth is perfect for betta's. Also floating plants like frogbit, water sprite (oakleaf is the prettiest for floating IMO), or very small water lettuce would work as well.
