so my brother got some java moss today and on the car ride home i noticed these little clear crabs about a centimeter long. so i went home and put them in a plastic container with an airstone and a little bit of the java moss

its at 72 degrees without a heater and they are in considerably hard water

i know freshwater crabs need land and air as adults but how about baby ones?

the three little crabs are hanging out on the moss which is floating on the surface of the water

so is this setup fine for now? how do i continue to care for these crabs moving forward?

thanks

Yes I'm very curious to see what these little bugger's look like. I thought Gammarus were a type of shrimp?

Here are some photos

I don't have a heater in there at the moment so they water temp is 70-72 degrees

Should I get a heater?

And apparently they're considered rare? How much do they usually sell for? I intend on keeping them I'm just curious on their availability
