best algae eatter for 10g

Oto's and/or Nerite Snails. Probably go for oto's first. You need a stable, mature tank though but they are brilliant little algae eaters. They get into the tiniest spaces. They can be hard to keep alive.....

Nerite snails. The Tiger/Zebra variety are very pretty and they do nothing but work 24 hours a day.

Oto's need more room than a 10 gallon offers. PLus since they are schooling fish and do such a good job at algea eating, they'll run through the 10 gallon's algea faster than it will be able to grow it for them to eat. I'd cross that out.

My suggestion is for Nerites/mystery snails and/or amano shrimp. both of those guys do a great job at it.

I keep wanting to get something for my 20 gallon but have yet to see algae on the tank I have my blinds open alot too.

3-4 albino Cory catfish they are cute and unique and help keep your tank clean

Are you wanting them for algae problems or do you want them just because you want an algae eater? If you have an algae problem you need to address the problem. An algae eater is nice to help keep a tank tidy but is not the answer if a problem is present. That being said if you just want to have an algae eater in such a small tank a nerite is perfect simply because not only is it small with a low bio-load but they eat a lot of biofilm which is present in all tanks even if algae isn't. One other thing to remember is not all algae eaters eat all types of algae and there are some types of algae that no algae eaters eat.
