Betta with snails?

Can a betta and snails be in the same tank? This may seem silly but I want to be sure...

I have had one betta that actually picked ramshorn snails out of their shells. I've also had two that completely ignored them. What kind of snails are you looking to get?

I added a nerite snail into my betta's tank and the betta completely ignores it. I used to have mystery snails in with another betta and he would nip them any chance he got. Depends on the betta and type of snail.

It would be a nerite snail, possibly two

I have had bettas nip at and bite off mystery snail tentacles. I would go with nerite snails also.

I have had a snail with my betta for about 5 weeks. He never messed with my snail.
