Hi, I was looking for a bottom dweller for my aquarium. I found this thing called a borneo sucker that kind of looked like a pleco on petco.com. I was happy because I like plecos but the only ones I can seem to find within 5 hours of me are common, which grow to 2 feet. I tried to look up care for these creatures, but I can't find much, except for that they like current. (My tank has a decent amount of current with its 2 power filters) I'm wondering if any of you know of care tips for Borneo Suckers.

:thanks: in advance

The Borneo sucker isn't a plec it's a loach, the hill stream loach and it's a cold water fish. More info on the link

Hillstream Loaches - The Specialists at Life In The Fast Lane — Loaches Online

The bristle nose plec is small 5-6" max, hardy, active and a great algae eater try and get one if your a tropical tank.

Yeah, what are some places that sell them? Can't find them at petco or petsmart. I really love plecos and they would definitely be my first choice.

You could order it online. These loaches can be delicate so don't have extremely active fish that would steal food.

They're quite delicate. Cold water and fast flow. They'll die quickly in a tropical tank.

They need extremely high oxygen levels to thrive and do better in "older" well established tanks with plenty of biofilm and algae. And as mentioned cool water is a must also.
