Hi,

I have ID'd all the fish in my tank except this one. He looks normal enough, I just don't know what he is.

Please help.... as we were given this tank with the fish in it from previous house owners...

Looks like a platy from that tiny picture. Can you try to upload a larger one?

Perhaps my computer just won't let me show a larger image.

Anybody else having the same prob?

If it is a Platy, then it's most likely "Xiphophorus maculatus", the platy most often found in stores.

OK. If you need to, there's always a free download from Irfan Viewer. Viewer comes with the capability to resize a picture. It's shareware; no spyware.

5 cents says its a Platy, looks like something between a Mickey Mouse and a Sunburst Platy.

Actually, good news! I had also posted the pic under my Blue Gourami post and "madasafish" figured it out. It is not a platy after all but a Rosy Barb. It has a concave tail and black spot just like the one in the hyperlink below! Horay!!! The myster is finally solved.

Thank you madasafish!!!

For some reason you can enlarge the pic on my Blue Gourami post.

Sorry for all the confusion with the bad pic post...
