Catfish identity?

Does anyone know what this is? Was told it was a paladis catfish when we bought it but from searching that on the internet it looks nothing like them????

Its a type of syndontis.

Not sure aboug multipunctatus but I would say it is not a petricola. Missing the white accents.

I know he is lovely! Just wanted to look up some more information about the species and when I typed in what I was told he was, nothing came up that looked remotely similar

It does look like a Synodontis of some sort. There are a lot of hybrids around.

I'm curious too... When I bought it, it was advertised as a palantis catfish, however that looks nothing like him/her?

I call my peppered cory a spotted cory, but I am still unsure. Lol

Palantus ? Sounds like a garbled Corydoras paleatus ... peppered Cory

Not a Corydoras , that's for sure. If you post pics on PC they can tell you. Planet Catfish is a great resource.

It could be a hybrid

He looks similar to a picture of a hybrid on that synodontis link. A very attractive fish. I wonder what it's adult markings will be like.
