Cleaning artificial plants

Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning artificial plants?
I have a pretty heavy coating of brown diotom 'algae' on my silk and plastic plants.
I was thinking of just using hot running water....

Eventually, I'm going to get a few otos to take care of this for me.

just use some warm water and a sponge.. cleans it up quite nicely

I put them in the dishwasher.

In the pan rack snap? Or with the coffee mugs?

Top rack. Plants are top rack safe.
