Could this be the cause of my high amonia?

to much stress coat?

i just realized i have been putting in a table spoon for every gallon instead of 1 for every 10 gallons. i add it to declorinate my water when i do a change?

my amonia levels are still present but have gone down.

I do not know if you can overdose on stress coat,but...I would do a couple of water changes,just to keep the ammonia under control until your bio-filter handles it w/nitrites.Then keep an eye on those nitrites!
