Hi everyone! I am looking into getting a group of diamond tetras for my 36 gallon. I saw them at the LFS and was quite taken with them. Looking for some insight/tips in caring for them specifically. Do their "sparkles" shine better under particular light? If you have pics, please share!

I got a small group of seven to start and they are gorgeous. Pictures just don't do them justice. They are hanging out in the quarantine tank for another week or so. I will try to post pics!

Here are a couple pics! Not the best since they move fast. Like I said, the pics don't do them justice since it is when the light hits them at the right angle that they sparkle!

They develop more sparkle in subdued light, dark background and lots of plants and look better with a little bit of tannins in the water.

A great value priced fish with a lot of sparkle. Great choice!

Hopefully they will have a better chance to "shine" once they get into the main tank!
