Do fish team up with other fish?

I'm having something really interesting happening in my 26G tank. The tank has a ton of Java Moss, and I added Ghost Shrimp. Now, for what is happening. My cherry barbs are going into the moss, and chasing the ghost shrimp out of the moss. Once out of the moss, then the rainbowfish go bonkers, chasing them all over the tank til they get back into the moss, lol. So far, doesn't look like any of the Rainbowfish has eaten any, as the ghost shrimp are a little too big for them to eat. But it's fun to watch, lol.

Sounds remarkably like wildlife adaptability. One species interupts another and the predators wait for the upcoming stampede of food.

I've had schools of certain fish work together and have the same attitude lol they work together as a unit if they really want or don't want something lol
