Dumb question about metal in tank.

This may be a dumb question, because intuitively it seems like a bad idea, but I thought I'd ask.

I have this great little Indonesian turtle that would look very cool in a tank. Thing is it's made of metal. Would it most likely corrode and harm my fish?

My gut says yes, but I'm surprised from time to time.

I think it all depends on the metal. But, just my guess, most metals could/would cause a potentially harmful situation.

Most things that are metal ornaments are pewter, a very soft lead type metal, I would not recommend putting any metal in the tank unless it's perfectly sealed, (doubtful)
