I second the FX 6 I have one on my 80 gal planted. Keeps the water clear for up to 3 months, and is easy to clean and restart. A little more money, but by far the best filter system I have used in 30 years of keeping fish.
I would go for a wet-dry filter. They process a lot of water and are very easy to clean. I had a canister filter and besides being a pain to clean (at least the one I had) it didn't do nearly as good a job as a wet-dry setup.
