Has anyone used the Rena brand? I see a deal on ebay for a whole 55 setup for 100 with a rena 55 smart filter and heater.

I have a rena canister filter. I love it. I have sand stones my buddy got a new tank used a rena canister filter but got rid of his sand stones and said it looked like his fish were gasping for air put in a sand stone and fish r doing good. If this helps.i guess his problem was nothing breaking the surface for oxygen.
