For a regular dimension 75g with dirt and sand substrate, what level of light would this be considered? And would you advise C02 with it if I hope to add plants.
 
It will be a domino effect with high powered lights, unless you want an algae farm. High lights, plants will need CO2, and then will need fertilizers. This can get to be pretty expensive. But for some people, like me, well worth it. If you do not wish to work with all of that, a low-tech set up with plants may be better. Then you will not need as powerful of a light.
