fluctuating temp in pwc

Hi just doing a water change and i heated the water by adding hot water from the kettle (new to this method). After doing the change i noticed my temp is almost 30°c obviously it will come down but will the high temps cause stress? Ive got a african bushfish & butterfly fish with khuli loaches and swordtails.

It would if the temperature changed quickly. There's nothing you can do this time round but next time try and match the water temp better (even if you need to use a thermometer).

I know. Feel a bit daft tbh seen as ive got a floating thermometer i can take off. Amateur mistake i guess, so it might stress them but hopefully not fatal then..?
