Fussy eaters!?

I have been feeding my minnows bloodworms for the past week in an effort to get them to breed however the only effect has been that the fish got a lot stockier! Anyway my Platies have been getting in on the blood worms to are now not eating their normal flake food! Are they being fussy? And will they start eating normally soon? Thx

Do a day with no food then feed the flakes again. Wouldn't overload too much with the bloodworms can wreck havoc with a fishes intestine having so much protein.
