I don't consider my self a Great goldfish breeder.

In fact I never intended to raise goldfish.

I bought 50 goldfish from Petco to act as mosquito control for my filter ponds for the other pools.

The goldfish did all there breeding on their own and when they start their is no way to stop them.

So now that I have them I have to take care of them the right way.

I use to raise KOI in the 80s and 90s when the KOI pond was dismantled about 8 yrs ago my mother said 1000 plus Koi came out of the pool.

Lucky I sold a lot of goldfish and turtles due to new ponds and goldfish pools being constructed.

I'm down to about 100 lg goldfish and 12 turtles.

I want zero goldfish and my 2 original Turtles.

My old female didn't lay eggs this year so I think shes done.( I HOPE) Shes 14yrs old.

Wow - that is a good age. Ponds are rare here. Used to see quite a few 30 years ago around my parents place with new development in Eastern Australia. Not so big in Western Australia these days.
