I have alot of hairy green algue growing on my plastic plants and its hard to remove, any ideas how 2 get rid of it?? also making the gravel green aswell, is there anything i can put in a bucket over night with the plants to remove this, as scrapping it off takes forever! help...thanks

I've had no experience with an algae problem myself but oto's and some certain pleco's will remove it for you. High nitrates seem to be a cause of algae growth.
I reccomend a bristlenose pleco to get rid of it, but that's my inexperienced advice!

You can soak them in bleach and water to kill the algae, be sure to rinse very well before returning them to the tank. How long are your lights on, any direct sunlight?

the lights have only been on 6hours a day lately, and its not in direct sunlight, ive heard that hydrogen peroxide is good, is that true ??
