We have a 29 gallon aquarium with 6 guppies and about 20 babies. The nitrate, nitrite, ph, hardness are all good but the alkalinity is the lowest that it could be.
I need to know if this is a huge problem and if its something that could be deadly.. Also how can i fix it?

The concern with low alkalinity (kH) is that it makes your water prone to wild pH fluctuations. Having a stable pH level is one of the more important aspects of a healthy aquarium.

Normally, a healthy pwc schedule can prevent it from being a problem (so you're always refreshing the alkalinity which is used up in the tank). If pH fluctuations do become an issue. Running a very small bag of crushed coral in your filter will raise GH and kH and help hold it stable.

Low Alkalinity

Hello Hopey...

pH is a measure of acidity or alkalinity in your tank water. A neutral pH is 7 on the scale. This means the water is neither acidic nor alkaline. A lower reading then 7 is acidic and higher is alkaline.

Unless you keep rare breeds of fish, you don't need to be concerned with pH, hardness or any of the rest. Just treat your tap water for chlorine, chloramine and ammonia and your fish and plants will adapt to your water conditions.
