Nice tank! Sorry idk why the bubbles are there.. I have no experience with sand in tanks, but i'm curious..what type of plants do you have? They look good!

Maybe try running ur hands over the sand to get the bubbles to disapear? That'd be my first attempt to get them to go away.

the bubbles appear to be trapped air pockets, probably from when the tank was filled or a PWC, i get em under the leaves of plants and on my gravel sometimes.

as said above running a hand over them should release the bubbles to the surface, also try leveling the sand to prevent it in future :)

+1 I had the same when I changed to sand. Move your fingers around in to release the bubbles and it will go away. Every PWC I've done since has not brought it back, so you should be fine

I actually used my net to run through my sand, releases bubbles from under the surface too, plus I didn't get my arm wet lol

Here is an update on the tank:)
What I feed them. My shrimp:) my tetras!
Are they supposed to school? Because they never really school.

Tetra only school if they feel threatened or if something spooks em.

In a tank with no bigger fish they will just hang out all over the place lol.

Not meaning to sound rude but I've heard that the food you use is low quality food (could be wrong!!!) I'd suggest switching to a different food like Hikari or New Life Spectrum for example, these are great foods and lots of people on here use em.

Tank is looking great though! And I love the shrimp :)

They are a schooling species but only in larger numbers. I tend to find they stay in a loose shoal when there are only a few

Thanks. I like the shrimp too! They're so fun to watch! I might check out those other food brands:)

To add to scousers point about food, a higher quality food will do your find no end of good also it's not healthy to just feed flake, once a week it's good to add a variation such a blood worm or even just pellets. Just helps keep your fishes digestive system healthy :)

Very good points...

Hikari have a variant of micro pellets for small fish that have 3 different pellets containing veg etc, and still fairly cheap too :D

UPDATE! My Orange Von Rio Tetras died:( So yesterday I went to petsmart and got some more fish to replace them. 2 small albino cories and 2 Ghost Catfish. I still have the shrimp.
