Need help fast please

I just turned on the lights in my 55g tank and discovered the thermometer laying on the bottom broken. Its one of those that has tiny little silver/black beeds around the red liquid that is encased in what I believe is wax. That didn't break open and the red liquid in intact. I have no doubt there is broken glass in the bottom, but I can't feel any. My next big concern is the tiny beeds which I'm assuming is mercury. I need help and suggestions.

Its not likely to be mercury, there was a thread like this a few months back, id just do a thorough vac.
