newish 5g tank

I just got a 5g tank basically for free has the same filter ( has new pads) as on my ten could i just run the new filter on my ten to seed it to so cycling is quicker

You can use substrate from your old tank or artificial plants just put them in your new tank you don't need to run the filter in you 10g here is a link I hope it helps

All cleaned and ready to go just need to get substrate im thinking sand and im doing live plants in this one

Havent looked at the bulb yet but i think its the standard hood light for a 5g kit

Its has a 15watt compact tublar style lights in the hood these should be ok for low light plants which is want at first

Okay. I'm planning on just doing some low light plants but want to majesty's I have enough light still.

i know what you mean mine will be in my kitchen so the plants will get light from the kitchen lights too through out the day
