Another question about my water changes. I have live plants and my pH is around 6.2-6.4 (hard to tell with those drop tests). I use mostly distilled water, my gH is currently 9% dH, but will fall more as I use more distilled. What's the best way to drop the pH of the new water so my fish don't get a big dose of 7.0 water? Or does it matter since I'm only changing 20% and it's mostly distilled?

I would say that it doesn't really matter since your using distilled water. I personally would use normal tap water because after conditioning it, it has got a lot of good chemicals inside that helps fish.

Not really that helps fish so much as tap water is really good for the plants, there are good trace elements in it.
