I would second it being a sword of some kind, that black stuff would be slightly concerning for me.

Looks like maybe a Cryptocoryne species. That dark colouring is the leaves rotting!

Looks like it could be some kind of cyanobacteria, that stuff is pretty goopy. My guess is a sword also but would help to see what the leaves actually look like.
