pleco and veggies question.

I have put cucumber in for my pleco, I don't think it ate it, the whole piece is always still in tact. I am going try zucchini. What is the best way to give, just raw? Also what I am curious about is what the best way to preserve the rest of the vegetable is?

Some people give it raw, others freeze it then defrost it by blanching, some blanch them and plop them in the tank. It depends on the texture your pleco wants his veggies.

hmm... well how do you know? i guess since he hasn't eaten raw try blanch? which how long would you boil it for?

Just from thirty seconds to a minute, and then toss them in water and ice to completely stop the cooking process.
