Putting plants from ponds into tank???

can putting plants and logs from a pond into my tank give my fish parasites?? also i want to know where i can find cheap black sand or gravel to put in my tank.

If you take plants from outside you can end up with damselfly nymphs you might want to do some research to find out what can happen to your fish. I myself think of it as to risky for any of my tanks. If you are going planted consider eco complete.

You could boil the wood, that is easy enough, plants however could be risky. You could try a dip with potassium permangenate, or bleach, or hydrogen peroxide.
