I have a 36 gal tank with platys mollies guppies plecostomus etc . I was wondering if a raphael catfish would work in the tank .

Yes but you would need to target feed him because this species can be shy.

Those sound like compatible fish.

So far so good infact I just found some Platy fry . How many babies do platys usually have ?

Platies normally have around 30 fry. You may want to give away some of your livebearers to prevent your tank from being over crowded with fry

Ok we'll I only found 3 fry so far . Do you think the rest didn't make it . :|

If it's a small platy I wouldn't be too worried. You can trade them in to your Lfs for store credit.

Platies are prolific breeders so if you lose these guys don't feel bad

Common plecos will work for awhile. No need to get rid of him right away.

Yea I plan to leave him in for months if not a year then give him away when he absolutely can live in there
