Alright so I have my two tanks and I need to upgrade... Obviously...

I plan on getting a 55g tank with strong filtration
Underground filter and hang on...maybe also canister...maybe protein skimmer...here is what I plan on putting in it
Oscar
Salicin Plecostomus
Eclipse catfish

First a protein skimmer in freshwater is useless, don't waste your money. Second having UG filter with HOB and canister your filtration will be fighting itself. Go with one or the other. IMO a HOB with a canister works better.

For filters the aqua clear for hob and fluval for canisters are what I prefer.

Imo: in my opinion hob: hang on back
As for an oscar i would recommend atleast a 75g for one since they get very large and need the room to swim
