River rock

Looking for River Rock to add to my aquarium I want to try to match the background some and the logs aren't working for me. Is what they sell at garden or home depot ok for the tank? Any preparation advice? I know I can't boil holey rock but what about river rock?

Clean them really good, soak them and scrub them good. I wouldn't boil them.
