A friend of mine in Oregon collected some beautiful rocks for me. There are now soaking in boiling water.

There are Jasper's, Granite, Petrified Wood, and more.

I will do the vinegar test -- and any others needed, to check them out for safety.

Any suggestions?

Plan of attack

Pretty :D. What type of tank are you putting them in?

That is an excellent question. I'm not sure. I have a boring 36 in my office, (photo included), and a pretty 12 in my bedroom. I am thinking of upgrading the 12 to a 24 long, and because of the location, on a heavy old dresser, I can't go larger.

Here comes the MTS... I also want a desktop aquarium for work, and of course a larger tank someday, but all of this takes $$$!

Sooooo, in the mean time I am trying to figure out my plan of attack... on a budget of about $100 a month!

First, I need improved lighting for my 36. I may put some of these rocks in that tank the next time I do a major PWC.

Thanks
