Hi everyone!! My Orandas, Ryukins and telescope goldies are a bit slower than usual. Other than seeming a little lethargic they seem pretty healthy. The water parameters are perfect (ammonia 0, nitrite and nitrates 0 and pH 7.6-7.8). The tank is 26 degrees Celsius, is this what’s causing them to be slow? Also one of the Orandas and the two ryukins I only got today, if that means anything.

Answers are greatly appreciated [emoji847]IMG_0001.jpg

Is it cycled? 0 nitrates is a little questionable for goldfish.
26 C is a bit warm. You should run 70F at the most imo. Get the temp down.

It has cycled. I’m working on getting the temp down but it’s really hot atm

Because to fix the heat problem, I can get some high speed aquarium fans, would this be a solution?

Yes aquarium fans should lower it a bit. And I do believe that the high temp is the cause of them being lethargic if the tank is in fact cycled and the water parameters are good. Make sure you have good surface agitation to create oxygen as well.

Thanks, made some whiskey stones and kept the fan on, down to 23-24 degrees. They also perked up quite a lot once I fed them. Thanks for the advice [emoji4]

Btw you probs know but whiskey stones are frozen water bottles [emoji854]

Oh. I thought you might have used actual fozen metal cubes or something. Lol
