Aquarium Advice Freak
Well, I think I'm as surprised as some of you may be, but here are my results so far:
Today
07:30
PH = 8.2
KH = 13
Added Bio-Coat at 0750
13:00 (1pm)
PH = 8.1
GH = 22
Sorry, I did not get a KH here.
16:45 (4:45pm)
20% water change, with RO water
17:00 (5pm)
Added "Sparkling Clear" to clear cloudy water - reported to have no other side effects - hmmm?
20:45 (8:45pm)
PH = 7.7
KH = 9.5
GH = 19
Added "PH Down" at 2100 per directions (2 drops per gal.)
Now I just have my fingers crossed and hope this gets me somewhere between 6.5 - 7.0 PH, without additional treatment.
I'm not sure if it was just the water change or the combination of other conditioners added today, but I am very pleased to see that much of a PH and hardness change without additional chemicals.
I'll either check it in a few hours or in the morning. Hopefully I'll be adding Bio-Spira by Saturday morning and have fish by that evening.
I said it before, and I'll say it again, "Thanks so much for all your help!!!"
