too much water flow???

i have a power head on top of the tube for the ugf its a pretty potent 1 and it gets the water goin pretty good so as it looks like the fish r swimming as opposed to just staying still they r convicts a african i forget the name but its yellow and black striped is this river type flow ok for them r they used to still water?

Reason I'm asking , How much is too much depends on the size of the tank.
