Treating BBA with Excel, reduce lighting as well??

I've been trying to spot treat for BBA and it is going away in the spot treated areas.. However, it is going to take forever to spot treat.. I have decided to treat the whole tank.. I am just using double the dosing for excel, but want to know if I should reduce or even kill the photoperiod all together..

I got rid of my bba just by running my lights for 4 hours, off for 4 hours, then back on for 4 hours.... within 2 weeks, it was all gone.

Yeah, I have my photoperiod broken.. on 10a-2p and 6p-10p....

the excel will kill it. you can also take the plants out and dip them in h2o2.
