One of my South American cichlids has layed a 3x3in. patch of eggs on the surface of this one rock i have.

Stock:
Green Terror - 3.5in.
Tiger Oscar - 3in.
Managuense - 2in.
Severum - 2in.
Senegal Bichir - 5in.
pleco - 5in.

I'm thinking its my Green Terror as it is protecting it's egg-patch as I type.
So does that make my GT a female??

I'm assuming they'll just get eaten, as there is no male GT present...

Here is a picture:

Kind of a pale translucent grey-mustard color to them..

30gal tank (I am aware and prepared to provide a bigger aquarium as they come along), pH ~7.8

Any advice/help? Does this mean she will be aggresive? The rock is kind of in the middle of the tank...

she might protect them for a few days, but if they do not get fertilized then she will lose interest and the eggs will be eaten.

She probably will be agressive for a little while. but once she knows there are no hope for the eggs she will lose interest and go back to her normal self.

And, btw... for that amount of fish i would recommend a 90+ gal tank. I saw a manguense at my LFS the other day, full gorwn. It was about 2' long Beautiful fish though.
