I have bought a New aqueon water changer and when you fill back the tank with new water will it be safe long enough to put in the water treatment. I'm going to turn off all filters and air pumps when refilling. I'm just nervous of exposing fish to the untreated water.

You typically put the dechlorinator in the tank before you re-add the new water. Make sure you treat for the volume of the tank instead of the volume of the water you are adding. I usually leave the filters on to circulate the dechlorinator.

I use Seachem Prime if that matters.

Thanks for the reply. So dose for whole tank. Ok the conditioner I use is jungle start right with aloe Vera. It is thicker than prime.
