I have a bare bottom 10 gal tank with sponge filter. Currently I have a male and female brittle nose pleco. They have now bred. I wanted to do a small water change because they r very messy and the bottom of the tank needs cleaning. I'm wondering if I should do this or not. I do not want to stress out the male since he is the caregiver of this batch. Any info as to what I should do would be a great help.

If water is dirty it definitely needs to be changed or your plecos could die. Just be careful and siphon the water. Make sure you dont suck up any baby plecos.
