What is this?

There are these brown patches in my tank today and I don't really know what they are. Is it poop? Ha any ideas?

1 gourami
2 pictus cats
1 peacock eel
4 mystery snails

Lots of new live plants (it's a new tank)

Veggie wafers to my catfish. But I only do 1 per feeding because they are the size of a nickel compared to my little pictus. Could it be the leftover? If so I want it out before ammonia spikes

It very well may be, if they don't finish their old wafers, just don't give them new ones until they do.
