Which Fish?

My 40 gallon tank will e finished its most recent cycle by the end of the week, and I was wondering what fish you guys think that I should get next. All I have in the tank now is three Mickey Mouse Platies (1 male and 3 females) and a pair of Balloon-Belly Mollies. (All fish currently under 1" length.)

What fish should I add next that will not mess with my existing fish and how many? They are all such sweeties and I would hate to lose any of them?

I would add a couple schools of fish. Like maybe 8-10 Cardinal Tetras, 6 Cory Cats, and 8-10 of another smaller schooling fish. Then you would be maxed out.

Maybe some type of Rasbora? I like the Harlequins (I have a school of 9), or perhaps Scissortails. They don't get too big and aren't known to bother other fish.
