Someone's chewing on my new hygro growth, I tolerate it for so long but it's really annoying now.

Not sure who it is, could be my cherry barbs, harlequin rasbora or my black neon and rosey tetras. I don't think it's the tetras though as they're mainly carnivorous.

Any idea? My money is on the barbs ?

My cherry barbs play in my plants but don't think I've ever seen them eat them.

That's a cool piece of driftwood!

Usually, its snails or fish like mollies. The ones you listed are not plant eaters. Leaves can get holes from nutrient problems too (lack of). I had the SAME issue with my hygo so I ripped it all out on a crabby day and now I sort of regret it.

My Cherry Barbs never touched a plant.

Try adding an Algae wafer or a leaf of organic rinsed lettuce and see if anyone bites ? It won't be conclusive proof as many fish will eat wafers.

But the culprit may leave your plants alone. If there is a fish eating them.
Heck even my snails don't touch healthy plants.

Could it be a platy? I forgot to mention him in the original post.

Also I drop two peas in once a week to help them with some fibre.

What sort of ferts do you dose? I agree that it could be a deficiency.

Osmocote + root tabs, diy co2. It's not pinholes and spreading like I've seen when I haven't dosed root tabs.
It looks like actual bite marks...
