could be those nematodes but i dont know this kind of stuff..

pics would help

What kind of food are you feeding the fish?
it could besome type of small debris getting past the sponge on your filter.

round, small, tiny antennae, whitish = daphnia
worm-like, white, small = nematodes

i have the same thing... i usually find them right next to my sand base , on the glass... they skoot around quick.. then stop for a few seconds then move again. they look like little daphnia...

If they are free swimming, likely planaria. Nematodes usually attach themselves to the glass. Both are harmless, just a sign of increased nutrients in your water. Cut down on feedings, and increase your water changes. Don't add any meds, won't do any good.

Im not an expert in this, but when I had nematodes, they were visible from anywhere between 2mm to about 5mm or 1/4".

I couldnt see any black on the ends, but if you do a search online, I'm sure you can find plenty of pics.

The like to try to hide in the gravel and such, but if you have good flow, they will float along with the current. You should be able to see them wiggle.
