In your quarantine tank, what precautionary medicine do you use? I've heard some use Paraguard or PraziPro for all new fish in their quarantine tank, as a precaution. I've also heard using nothing, because if your new fish have a disease, you want it to come out before the fish get added to your main tank. I was contemplating on using aquarium salt on a permanent basis as a precautionary measure.

What do you use?

Mainly nothing for fish. I actually buy more plants in a year so have started treating them / sitting in a bucket for a few days with bactericide just in case. Basically stopped putting them straight in the tank anyways.

In my last tank I didn't have a quarantine tank, for now I have a bit of salt and I'll keep them there for two days while O observe.
