Hi,

I put 3 Nerite snail in my tank.
First day they move a little, now already 2 days they don't move at all.

Amm, Nitrite etc at 0.

Do they have some acclimation period?

Thanks

Have you done the sniff test? Take them out and smell them. If they stink, they're dead. My nerites will sometimes go a day or two with little to no activity. Where are they in the tank?

It's smell nothing.

They are on the gravel (eco complete).

KH from 6 to 7.
GH from 161.1 to 179.

I acclimated them before putting in the tank.

Water temp 25.5.

Before (2 weeks ago) I use No-planaria & Melafix. But 2 days before putting the snails I run a new bag of carbon.

Ph is always 8.0.

I use the ferts SeaChem liquid carbon (not overdosing), seachem compt, api leaf and the root tabs (10 tabs for 29g).

I would give them time as long as they aren't foul. I've seen nerites appear dead for close to a week only too be seen cruising the glass the next day.

My nerite sat in one place for 3 days after I first got him. He's been perfectly fine ever since.

They don't move for 9 days. Sniff test - OK. ...?

I smell them every day and nothing...
I saw one moving a little on the same place.

What it can be?

Corydoras eat near them. Angelfish, platy and harlequin raspboras doesn't care about them.

The only thing i can think of is something in the water that is affecting them, maybe something been added? Or it's the snail's maybe not healthy? Hopefully they'll start moving.

1 of them is died.
Maybe its plants ferts? 8 root tabs for 29g is OK for the cupper?

I bring them back to the store.
I took 2 new neritas and 1 apple snail. And 1 large bamboo shrimp.
Will see if it's my water or what...

They already started clean my tank. I never saw anubias leaf so clean!

Apple snail is a really bad idea for the planted tank. It almost destroyed a hairgrass and start to cut the leafs from my crypt...

How's your snail's?

53 gallon elephant nose tank
16 gallon Giant African shrimp tank

They are fine. But I returned back the apple "The Plant Destroyer" snail.

They keep dying... 2 of 3 are already died. They stop moving 2 days after a add them.

2 of 3 Bamboo Shrimp are dead too. 1 still fine.

I need to test my water for cooper.

Sorry to hear that, testing for copper is a good idea at least then you'll know.
