What do you feed RCS?

5 gallon Betta Tank
3 gallon RCS Tank
1 gallon Betta Tank
In process 20L reef
 
They will pretty much eat anything. Algae wafers, flakes that make it to the bottom, biofilm, and veggies. Zucchini and cucumber seem to be a hit for a bunch of us on here

Ok thanks for that how do you prepare you Zucchini and cucumber to feed them?

I normally blanch mine for a few minutes in boiling water :)

I cut it into slices then I put it in a dish and cover with water and microwave for like a min the dump the water and put them under cold water to cool them off.

Not that boiling on the stove takes that much longer but you can always kinda microwave and forget about it intend of having to stand at the stove.

But what about the chlorine in the water?
Wouldn't that kill the shrimps?

Nope. Not enough gets in. Plus at 1min in a shallow dish the water pretty much boils. :)

My shrimp eat anything!
This morning it was a deceased fish. All that was left was a skeleton like you see in the cartoons. Bit ghoulish, but just natures way I suppose.

Bit out of focus but it was a wafer they were eating!
