I hope this is just a normal color change type thing. Notice those darker red spots? They aren’t raised and don’t look like sores. I just noticed them. The fish is acting perfectly normal.

It does not look like "normal" coloration to me. It appears to be something brewing inside the fish However, it also looks like a post anchor worm spot so it could be external. That said, unless it gets worse, I'd just watch it. If it does get worse, ( enlarge or gets redder/ bloody) I would treat for both internal and external issues in a hospital tank. The right med will depend on your water parameters. It may be something that can heal just with clean water so make sure your water parameters are good for starters. (y)
