I have two turtle that I plan on breeding when they are older. Any idea what gender they r.

With RES if they are Red Eared Sliders , the Males have longer claws and a longer tail.

RES females get 12". They need ponds or a big tank and Big canister filters.

You need a second backup tank to separate the males sometimes or they may harass the females too much. Please check your local rescue. RES are dumped constantly. Please do NOT breed more.

Also it is illegal in some areas to sell baby Turtles less than 4" long.

I don't want to sell them. And I would rather not contaminate my tank or pond with the turtles that may have been dumps. I would get one only after it has been gotten rid of any other disease aside from salmonella
